The Lord has wrought miracles through the life of Takiela Bynum. Life’s circumstances ignited a blaze, and reduced her broken spirit to ashes. She has been restored from cremation and beautified with salvation.
Takiela wrote at her leisure as a tween and it proved that she would walk the path of a godly literary composer. God had a purpose for her pleasure…to minister. One must first be hurt in order to be healed, held captive in order to be freed, and cast down to be exalted, that is the basis of her prose. The Lord exchanged the ashes of her life for His beauty, indeed.
In addition to writing, Takiela is also a speaker. Her passion is youth. Living through unimaginable abuse, growing up in a single parent home, and becoming a teen mother has all given her the experience necessary to connect with youth on a deeper level.
Takiela has been married for over fifteen years to Elder Terry Bynum. They have three children, Teyrr, Terry II, and Terryon (16, 11, 9, respectively). The Bynums’ reside in Nebraska. In her spare time Takiela enjoys spending time with her family, reading and writing. She desires to be chief among givers (philanthropist) offering money, time, knowledge, and resources that God may be glorified.
